All of your projects in planimbAI feature a diagram view that allows you to visualize a project’s timeline, tasks and due dates at a glance, and to add dependencies between tasks. You might also be interested in our article on how to model dependencies.
Interacting with the Diagram View #
The diagram view is a flow chart visualizing a project’s timeline from bottom to top. It also includes your project’s progress bar on the left side as a reference. Tap it to change between an overview of the entire time span between the scheduled start and end of your project, and a detailed view that shows just the time remaining from today.
All task areas are shown as sequential threads of tasks. You can tap all tasks to view and edit them, just like on the project screen. Due dates and dependencies will be reflected on the diagram view as well.
Large Projects and Small Screens #
Tap the button in the top right corner to expand the diagram view, making it scrollable horizontally and maximizing the vertical screen space used. You can also zoom the diagram view for improved readability. Task names and due dates will show or hide depending on the available screen space.
planimbAI is ideal for your small to medium sized projects. To enable you to view your project’s timeline at a glance and to add dependencies between tasks with just a single drag, we decided not to make the diagram view scrollable vertically. Thus, a large number of tasks in your project may render the diagram view cluttered and hard to read, even when expanded. We suggest you to divide your larger projects into multiple task areas, and to combine related tasks. Adding smaller steps as items to your tasks will allow you to organize all work in a more fine-grained manner.
